About the role
- Oversee Design Transfer through the application of Design for Excellence principles
- Serve as a subject matter expert on assigned systems and provide training as necessary
- Act as a liaison between Research & Development, Manufacturing counterparts, and Suppliers
- Ensure ease of assembly and high yield rates by conducting design reviews and utilizing assembly and test fixtures
- Govern and drive cost efficiencies: Through system design optimization during the design phase, By applying LEAN principles in manufacturing
- Ensure product development considers future sustaining activities
- Design and develop assembly/test jigs and fixtures
- Ensure proper documentation is available in accordance with Design and Manufacturing Quality Management System (QMS) requirements for instrument industrialization
- Develop and manage workflows with the development team as needed to ensure compliance with QMS requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in product development environment
- Familiar with Design for Excellence principles
- Experience with various tools. Eg. DOORs, JAMA and SAP
- Preferably experienced in a highly regulated environment
- Preferably with Electromechanical experience
- Familiar with either 3D CAD system such as Solidworks or Electrical CAD system such as Altium designer
