About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work with customers to understand operational challenges, business objectives, processes, data requirements, and success measures
Support the design, development, verification, and validation of discrete-event simulation models
Use Simul8 to evaluate scenarios, identify bottlenecks, assess resource requirements, quantify operational risk, and support evidence-based decisions
Analyze model outputs and translate simulation results into business insights and actionable customer recommendations
Facilitate model discovery sessions, workshops, model reviews, training sessions, and project presentations
Advise customers on simulation modelling methodology, model design, experimentation, and Simul8 usage
Review and troubleshoot customer simulation models and provide advanced modelling guidance
Maintain documentation covering model assumptions, logic, data inputs, validation, experiments, results, and recommendations
Contribute to the Customer Engagement Lifecycle and support product and service deployment
Complete deliverables on time and within budget, track work hours, and maintain procedural compliance
Support customer adoption, utilization, value realization, and ROI of Minitab solutions
Provide technical support for advanced modelling queries
Identify roadblocks and contribute to Customer Success process improvements
Maintain detailed customer interaction records
Assist with onboarding and enablement of new team members
Participate in strategic initiatives, working groups, cross-functional meetings, and leadership projects
Liaise with Sales and Marketing as a subject-matter expert

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a closely related discipline; equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu
1+ years of professional or academic experience developing discrete-event simulation models
Experience using discrete-event simulation software; Simul8 preferred, with Arena, AnyLogic, Simio, FlexSim, or similar tools also considered
Understanding of simulation modelling principles, including conceptualization, data analysis, verification and validation, experimentation, scenario analysis, and interpretation of results
Experience translating business or operational problems into analytical or simulation-based solutions
Experience working directly with customers or internal stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate technical findings and recommendations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with processes, data, and systems
Experience with at least one programming or analytical language such as Python, R, SAS, Java, or C#
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time to customer or partner sites, industry events, and tradeshows
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
Spanish-language proficiency preferred
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
