About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable frontend solutions on **Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC)** using modern frontend technologies and best practices.
Drive frontend architecture decisions, ensuring high performance, maintainability, scalability, and responsiveness across eCommerce applications.
Collaborate closely with backend engineers, product managers, UX designers, and stakeholders to deliver seamless customer experiences.
Design and integrate RESTful APIs while ensuring efficient data flow across the platform.
Conduct code reviews, establish engineering best practices, and mentor junior and senior engineers to foster technical excellence.
Identify and resolve complex technical challenges, performance bottlenecks, and production issues.
Champion engineering standards, coding guidelines, testing strategies, and CI/CD best practices.
Contribute to technical roadmap planning, solution design, estimation, and sprint planning.
Stay current with emerging frontend technologies, SFCC capabilities, and eCommerce trends, driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

What you’ll need

7–15+ years of software engineering experience, with strong expertise in frontend development and eCommerce platforms.
Hands-on experience with **Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC)**, including **SFRA architecture** and storefront customization.
Strong proficiency in **HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)**, and **React**.
Experience building scalable, responsive, and high-performing web applications.
Strong understanding of **RESTful APIs**, frontend integration patterns, and headless commerce concepts.
Experience with **Git**, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.
Good understanding of web performance optimization, accessibility, SEO, and cross-browser compatibility.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional global teams.
Proven ability to mentor engineers, lead technical discussions, and influence architectural decisions.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
