About the role
- Work on developing and maintaining applications built on the Pega platform
- Understand the requirements and design of the applications
- Write code in Java and JavaScript programming languages
- Test and debug the applications
- Deploy applications on the servers
- Coordination with the project manager to ensure that the business architecture meets the customer's needs
- Monitor the performance of the applications and make necessary changes
- Bringing company databases, legacy software, and online services together
- Troubleshooting application problems, code errors, and bottlenecks
- Performing system performance tests
- Keeping the privacy of all system programs intact
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or computer science
- Proven work experience as a Pega developer
- Advanced knowledge of Pega PRPC 5.x/6.x/7.x
- Familiarity with J2EE, XML, Java, JSP, and EJB
- Familiarity with Scrum and Agile methodology
- Knowledge of coding languages including Angular JS, Java, and JQuery
- Knowledge of web technologies including JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, and XML
- Ability to troubleshoot complex software issues
- JAVA, .NET, and Pega scripting languages
- Additional Qualifications Experience working on federal government projects
- Ability to hold a security clearance
