About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable, highly available, and disaster-resilient cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure (EC2, S3, RDS, Azure VMs, Blob Storage, networking, and Kubernetes)
  • Provision and automate cloud resources using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, PowerShell, and Azure CLI/portal
  • Implement cloud security controls including IAM/access management, encryption, network segmentation, and compliance best practices
  • Monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot performance and availability issues, and implement alerting and operational improvements
  • Integrate infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and support application deployments with minimal downtime
  • Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Collaborate with development teams to translate application requirements into cloud-native solutions
  • Contribute to team objectives and take on additional responsibilities as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience is required
  • Experience with AWS and Azure core services: compute, storage, networking, databases, and security
  • Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates
  • Proficiency in scripting/automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/container orchestration
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices, including GitHub Actions
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, networking (subnetting, routing, load balancing, VPNs), and compliance principles
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex cloud infrastructure and deployment issues
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional environment.
  • Experience in SAFe/Agile Software Development
  • Prior government/federal experience
  • Ability to obtain a government clearance
  • Must possess one or more of the following certifications (or an equivalent): AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
