About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and own the end-to-end lifecycle marketing strategy across email, CRM, and customer engagement channels
  • Design and implement core lifecycle flows, including: Welcome and onboarding journeys, Project and cart abandonment recovery, First-to-second purchase acceleration, Post-purchase cross-sell and repeat purchase flows, Seasonal and event-driven campaigns (e.g., holidays, milestones)
  • Develop behavior-based trigger systems tied to user actions (e.g., project creation, image uploads, inactivity)
  • Define and implement dynamic customer segmentation based on behavioral, transactional, and engagement data
  • Leverage AI-driven personalization and automation to deliver relevant content, offers, and product recommendations
  • Continuously refine targeting strategies to improve conversion rates and customer engagement
  • Own key retention and lifecycle KPIs
  • Identify and address drop-off points in the customer journey using cohort analysis and funnel insights
  • Establish and maintain a test-and-learn framework for lifecycle marketing
  • Own and optimize HubSpot for lifecycle marketing execution
  • Leverage AI tools and agentic workflows to generate and test email and campaign variations
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to align lifecycle triggers with in-product behavior and user experience
  • Collaborate with and provide direction to supporting team members, including content, design, and marketing operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4–8 years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM marketing, retention marketing, or growth marketing within DTC e-commerce or digital products
  • Hands-on experience building and managing lifecycle programs in platforms such as HubSpot, Braze, Iterable, or similar
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in cohort analysis, funnel optimization, and performance measurement
  • Demonstrated ability to drive measurable impact on retention, conversion, and revenue
  • Experience with A/B testing frameworks and experimentation methodologies
  • Familiarity with AI-driven marketing tools and automation platforms
  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment
