About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

The Field Applications Scientist (FAS) is a key member of Miltenyi’s Commercial Sales team, playing a central role in customer success across flow cytometry, imaging, and clinical cell and gene therapy manufacturing platforms.
Collaborate with sales team members to understand customer requirements and design appropriate technical solutions.
Perform onsite and virtual product demonstrations for instruments and applications, including seminars, workshops, and “lunch and learn” sessions.
Act as the primary field technical support for assigned instrument portfolios, providing onsite installation support and initial end-user training.
Provide timely responses to customer technical inquiries, troubleshooting issues remotely and onsite, in collaboration with Technical Support, Field Service Engineers, and other internal teams.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field (Biology, Immunology, Biomedical Engineering or related discipline)
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in biological sciences, cellular therapy, flow cytometry, microscopy/spatial biology, or related field.
Hands-on experience with one or more of the following domains is required: cellular therapy/cell and gene therapy, flow cytometry, or microscopy/spatial biology.
Customer-facing experience in field applications, technical support, or comparable roles is strongly preferred.
Experience in clinical or regulated environments is a plus where applicable.
