About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Facilitate engaging, student-centred online learning
- Guide students through complex data science concepts
- Support student learning through discussion and academic support
- Assess student submissions in line with academic standards
- Provide clear, constructive, and developmental feedback
- Ensure consistency and fairness in marking
- Critical review of qualification and material
- Contribute to the design or revision of learning materials, assessments, and module content
Requirements
What you’ll need- A relevant Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems or a relevant field (NQF 8)
- Teaching, tutoring, or facilitation experience in higher education or professional learning environments
- Demonstrated knowledge of data analytics concepts and tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R, or similar)
- Strong analytical, communication, and feedback skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
- Familiarity with online learning platforms and digital engagement tools
- A passion for student learning, development, and academic quality
