About the role

  • Training customers’ personnel in both the operation and programming of machine tools to a level that will ensure that the operator is competent and safe in the use of the machine
  • Professionally running projects to ensure that the project is delivered to the agreed engineering specification, on time and to budget
  • Maintaining project documentation in a correct manner to ensure full traceability
  • Using the Mills CNC Field Service App to log tasks daily, leaving a record of what has been covered and any issues during visits
  • Gaining and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the Mills CNC product range and attending training when and where necessary on new control systems and machine models
  • Covering the UK & Ireland, you must be prepared to work away from home during the week

Requirements

  • Fanuc and Siemens programming experience is essential
  • At least 5 years’ experience of 5-Axis machining centre or multi-tasking mill/turn centre is essential
  • A skilled and motivated engineer capable of interpreting complex drawings
  • Heidenhain control experience is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Fusion 360 an advantage
  • A time-served engineer with recognised apprenticeship
  • Ideally living in the Midlands area
  • A professional and effective communicator
