About the role
- Lead and support the migration of on-premise infrastructure and applications to AWS
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize existing on-premise systems, including virtualization, storage, networking, and firewalls
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and automation tools
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support application deployment and infrastructure changes
- Ensure security best practices are applied to both on-premise and cloud environments
- Collaborate with application teams, shared services, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response for critical systems
- Document processes, architectures, and configurations for both legacy and cloud environments
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering and/or cloud engineering roles
- Hands-on experience with on-premise datacenter technologies: virtualization (Hyper-V preferred, but open to VMware), storage (SAN/NAS), networking (routing, switching), and firewalls
- Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform
- Experience with CI/CD tools
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPNs, DNS, load balancing)
- Familiarity with Windows administration in both on-premise and cloud environments
- Scripting experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
