About the role
- Support and oversee Herman Miller stores within a designated geographical area and report to the Senior Director of Herman Miller Global Stores
- Oversee and manage a team of General Managers and their sales teams, including recruiting and hiring General Managers
- Coach, motivate, and develop General Managers to achieve store and brand sales targets
- Conduct in-person store visits regularly to monitor sales activities and provide support (spend ~80% time in stores)
- Analyze market trends, competition, and customer needs to develop effective regional sales strategies
- Set realistic sales targets and monitor progress toward achieving revenue goals
- Provide ongoing sales training and coaching on product knowledge, selling skills, and customer service
- Track sales metrics, analyze performance data, and report key insights to executives
- Manage regional sales budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources
- Collaborate with marketing, HR, customer service, and other partners to align and support sales initiatives
Requirements
- 3+ years of transferable retail management and multi-location responsibility
- Travel and manage locations in the geographic area, spending 80% in stores within the area
- Must be a hands-on leader with an entrepreneurial spirit, solution-based mindset, and attention to detail
- Demonstrate results in previous leadership roles
- Proven ability to train and lead all levels of store team, including General Managers and Selling Associates
- Outstanding communications skills—verbal, written, and listening
- Ability to act with urgency in a dynamic environment and make decisions that comply with MillerKnoll procedures
- Commitment to providing World Class customer experiences, quality operations, and a high level of professionalism
