About the role
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with corporate objectives and market opportunities.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead capital planning, investment analysis, and resource allocation.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Monitor financial performance and key metrics, identifying trends and opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial modeling and analytics.
- Oversee financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the business unit.
- Implement and maintain robust financial systems, controls, and reporting frameworks with financial rigor.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with all regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions.
- Optimize working capital, cash flow, and capital structure to support operational and strategic goals.
- Communicate financial performance and strategic direction clearly and credibly to the Board of Directors and executive leadership.
- Navigate and influence within a complex, global matrix, balancing corporate governance with business model and regional autonomy.
- Lead change management and integration efforts in a dynamic, fast-evolving business environment.
- Support investor relations as needed.
- Build and lead a high-performing team, mentoring and developing talent to achieve organizational goals in a globally distributed finance team.
- Create people strategies including organizational structure, attract and hire strong talent, create succession plans and lead an engaged team.
- Drive a culture of creativity, accountability, and performance within the finance organization.
- Serve as a role model for MillerKnoll’s values and leadership principles.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a senior finance executive in a global, matrixed organization.
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience in global, multibillion-dollar organizations.
- Deep expertise in financial strategy, operations, and capital markets.
- Demonstrated success leading in highly matrixed, complex environments with diverse geographies, cultures, and business models.
- Experience in both strategic and operational finance, including M&A, capital markets, and transformation leadership.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated high integrity and commitment to ethical financial stewardship.
- Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree and/or qualified accountant (CPA, CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) strongly preferred.
