Leads the project from strategic development through completion as it relates to architecture and construction.
Partners with key internal business contributors to establish project budgets, manage activities within budgets, and report results to the business.
Manages workflow throughout the organization by effectively influencing decisions and conversations both inside and outside of the group.
Negotiates terms, executes, and administers vendor construction contracts in accordance with corporate goals, budget constraints, and program expectations.
Monitors and coordinates accounting activities as appropriate and prepares reports for management.
Participates in budget planning as required.
With the support of the executive architect, actively manages the General Contractor for each project, approving change orders and payments and driving the schedule for on-time delivery.
Builds and maintains relationships with cross-functional MillerKnoll teams.
As part of the project management team, fosters relationships with vendors and contractors to deliver quality results.
Where appropriate, sources new vendors and onboards them.
As part of the project management team, identifies the ways in which we can be better partners, use resources more efficiently, and create less waste.
As part of the project management team, develops key construction metrics to assess overall effectiveness and ROI.
Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree of architecture preferred.
Must be an assertive, self-starter with the ability to represent MillerKnoll in a professional manner.
Have enthusiasm to be part of a dynamic, evolving organization and to embrace the challenges of building best practices within the MillerKnoll family of brands.
Have curiosity for how our brands work and have a drive to deliver spaces that best serve our customers, associates, and core business objectives.
