About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support multiple concurrent capital projects ranging from $5M–$100M, with a strong focus on healthcare
- Prepare plumbing designs, calculations, estimates, reports, and specifications for building projects
- Support plumbing design on multiple projects according to established priorities
- Conduct site surveys of existing conditions
- Assist with construction punch lists
- Participate in project design and coordination meetings
- Communicate with other disciplines to incorporate all information into project requirements
- Ensure technical quality of engineering tasks on assigned projects
- Travel to client sites as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, and/or CPD (Certified in Plumbing Design), and/or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of related experience designing varied industrial, commercial, educational, institutional, and governmental facilities
- Experience with hospitals and healthcare, military bases, government buildings and courthouses, research laboratories, central steam and chilled water plants, and/or corrections facilities highly valued
- Strong Revit skills
- Experience with sanitary, storm, domestic water, and natural gas plumbing systems is required
- Exposure to wet/dry/pre-action sprinklers and standpipes is a plus
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Travel to client sites as required
- Progress toward PE licensure is preferred
- No visa sponsorship or support provided
- Successful completion of a federal background check for security clearance required
