About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead onboarding activities and facilitate the new hire experience for the Milhouse Family of Companies
- Implement programs supporting company business goals, desired culture, and team member experience
- Lead contact for immigration concerns and processing
- Coordinate and administer employee relations activities and serve as a partner or credible resource for People and Culture inquiries
- Assist with training and talent development programs, onboarding support, process documentation, continuous improvement, and professional growth
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with leaders and team members by providing high-level customer service and value-added support
- Support performance management cycles
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
- Serve as a people champion and culture brand ambassador with P&C leadership
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Prepare ad hoc reports and support ad hoc projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field and/or 6+ years relevant experience
- 2+ years of experience in HR roles
- HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR is a plus
- Strong knowledge of onboarding, employee relations, talent management, performance management, compliance, and multi-state employment regulations
- Understanding of immigration processes and documentation requirements, including I-9, visa coordination, and compliance tracking
- Knowledge of employee experience, engagement, and culture-building best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel, HRIS systems, and Deltek VantagePoint or similar ERP platforms
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze HR data, prepare reports, and support data-driven decision making
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment when handling sensitive employee matters
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
- Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality
- Proactive mindset and ability to identify needs, recommend improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives
