About the role
- Take full ownership of accounting operations in DATEV, including bookkeeping, payables, receivables, reconciliations, and monthly/annual closings
- Lead projects to design and implement scalable processes and tools that strengthen our financial infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with German accounting, tax, and reporting standards
- Collaborate closely with Finance and Operations teams to integrate accounting with business operations
- Support auditors, tax advisors, and external stakeholders with accurate and timely documentation
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification
- Proficiency in DATEV is a must, with hands-on experience in managing accounting workflows
- Strong understanding of German GAAP (HGB) and tax regulations
- Fluent in German and English (both required)
- Detail-oriented, structured, and reliable with a proactive mindset
- Experience in a fast-paced environment or startup is a plus
