About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Customer support: Primary point of contact for customers via phone, email and remote access.
  • Independent handling, processing and documentation of service requests and incidents.
  • Technical support and system monitoring: Analyze, prioritize and implement sustainable resolutions for incidents in the areas of virtualization, Windows and Linux server services.
  • Administration of server hardware, storage systems, operating systems and networks.
  • Proactive monitoring of customer systems and performing regular health checks.
  • Identify root causes of issues and derive improvement measures.
  • Managed services: Plan, execute and oversee managed services within agreed SLAs.
  • Participate in change management and consistently document all processes.
  • Prepare service reports and support Continual Service Improvement (CSI).
  • Close collaboration with customers and internal teams to ensure stable, secure and high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Professional background: Completed vocational training in the IT field (e.g. IT specialist for system integration) or a comparable qualification.
  • Career changers with relevant practical experience are also welcome.
  • Motivation and willingness to learn: You are curious, enjoy developing professionally and want to continuously expand your knowledge in a modern IT environment.
  • Service orientation: A professional and friendly manner when dealing with customers and colleagues is natural for you.
  • Strong communication skills and team player: You enjoy working in a team but can also take on tasks independently.
  • Technical fundamentals: Proficient with Windows (client/server) and Linux systems.
  • You are familiar with concepts such as DNS and DHCP, and you have a solid basic understanding of networking that you can further develop with hands-on experience.
  • Virtualization & cloud: Good practical experience with VMware technologies (Broadcom / Omnissa) and knowledge of cloud environments.
  • Interest in IT security: You are interested in IT security topics and actively apply or continuously deepen this knowledge in daily work.
  • Tech affinity: Enthusiasm for new technologies and trends, especially in cloud and security, combined with a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Language skills: Very good German language skills, both spoken and written.
