About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Customer support: Primary point of contact for customers via phone, email and remote access.
- Independent intake, processing and documentation of service requests and incidents.
- Technical support and system monitoring: Analyze, prioritize and sustainably resolve incidents related to virtualization, Windows and Linux server services.
- Administration of server hardware, storage systems, operating systems and networks.
- Proactive monitoring of customer systems and regular health checks.
- Identify root causes and derive improvement measures.
- Managed services: Plan, execute and control managed services within agreed SLAs.
- Participate in change management and consistently document all activities.
- Prepare service reports and support continual service improvement (CSI).
- Work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure stable, secure and high-quality service delivery.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Professional background: Completed vocational training in the IT field (e.g., IT specialist in system integration) or a comparable qualification.
- Career changers with relevant practical experience are welcome.
- Motivation and willingness to learn: You are curious, eager to develop and want to continuously expand your knowledge in a modern IT environment.
- Service orientation: Professional and friendly demeanor when dealing with customers and colleagues is a matter of course for you.
- Communication skills and team spirit: You enjoy working in a team but can also take on tasks independently.
- Technical foundation: Confident handling of Windows (client/server) and Linux systems.
- Terms like DNS and DHCP are familiar to you, and you have a solid basic understanding of networking that you can further develop with us in practice.
- Virtualization & cloud: Good practical experience with VMware technologies (Broadcom / Omnissa) and knowledge of cloud environments.
- Interest in IT security: You are interested in IT security topics and actively apply and deepen this knowledge in day-to-day work.
- Technology affinity: Enthusiasm for new technologies and trends, especially in cloud and security, combined with a willingness to keep learning.
- Language skills: Very good German language skills, both written and spoken.
