About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide strategic and operational oversight of financial reporting and projects across Belgium, Luxembourg, France and the Netherlands
Ensure the quality, reliability and compliance of financial information
Develop a forward-looking perspective for the Western Europe cluster
Oversee a team of accounting experts
Lead and develop a team of five accounting staff
Strengthen team capabilities, drive performance and foster collaboration
Lead month-end and year-end financial closing processes
Ensure timely, accurate and compliant reporting of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow data
Serve as local point of contact for tax, legal and credit management activities
Ensure transfer pricing and intercompany compliance
Act as Compliance Ambassador and safeguard accounting integrity and financial governance
Contribute to project design and coordinate central and local stakeholders
Drive harmonization of financial processes across the cluster
Deliver pragmatic, value-driven solutions to operational needs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven knowledge of accounting, tax and legal matters in an international context
Education in finance and accounting, preferably CFA, CPA, FA or equivalent
5+ years of leadership experience
Excellent people management skills
Strong business acumen and commercial mindset
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively
Experience in a multinational, multi-location and multilingual environment
Comfortable operating within a matrix organisation with diverse stakeholders
Excellent command of English and French, written and spoken, at C1 level
Professional, meticulous and collaborative communication style
