About the role
- Ensure Midas' security infrastructure operates reliably at scale, enabling 3.5M users and maintaining zero-downtime security posture
- Enroll critical data sources across security products, business applications, and cloud services into log management platforms
- Maintain 99.9% security log uptime with automated backup/restore pipelines and 10-minute recovery time
- Build and maintain WAF rules to protect external perimeter and reduce false negatives/false positives
- Design and enroll CIS benchmark implementations across production inventory with automated validation and reporting
- Define guardrails and enforce configuration security across cloud, container, and Active Directory environments
- Convert recurring operational tasks and incident response playbooks to automated jobs to improve response times and reduce engineering costs
- Implement security telemetry with infrastructure visibility and 5-minute alert response times; ensure tooling health, performance, and availability
Requirements
- Design and operate logging pipelines, SIEM integrations, and backup/restore systems
- Implement and maintain CIS benchmarks and configuration security policies across hybrid environments
- Build security automations using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools
- Configure and optimize WAF rules, firewall policies, and network segmentation
- Implement comprehensive security monitoring with real-time alerting and health visibility
- Secure cloud environments, Kubernetes containers, and Active Directory systems
- Take full ownership of security operations end-to-end
- Balance speed and safety; perform rapid incident response without compromising thoroughness
- Collaborate fluidly across teams and communicate clearly with empathy and precision
