About the role
- Lead projects through the full product development lifecycle – from concept, design, and prototyping to validation, release, and production ramp
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules
- Facilitate design reviews, risk assessments, and cross-functional checkpoints to ensure project alignment and technical integrity
- Coordinate with engineering teams to track progress, manage discrepancies, and resolve issues
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, supply chain, operations, and quality to ensure smooth product transfer into production
- Manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain schedule and quality targets
- Provide regular updates and status reports to leadership and stakeholders
- Ensure project documentation, including requirements, design records, test plans, and release materials are complete and accurate
- Champion continuous improvement in development processes, tools, and execution practices
Requirements
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field (Master’s a plus)
- 5+ years of project management experience in engineering product development (hardware, systems, or integrated hardware/software preferred)
- Strong understanding of product development lifecycles, from concept to production release
- Demonstrated success managing cross-functional engineering projects on schedule and within scope
- Strong technical background with the ability to engage effectively with engineers and technical leaders
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar)
