About the role

  • Supervise other staff and contribute to grant reporting
  • Work on cases and participate in leadership teamwork and decision-making
  • Build and manage MIRC’s pro bono and volunteer support model
  • Recruit, train, and mentor attorneys for referral matters
  • Lead trainings and organize workshops
  • Identify and recruit additional professional support for cases

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in Michigan or eligible for the next Michigan bar examination
  • Experience in handling an immigration law caseload
  • Commitment to serving low-income immigrant and underserved communities
  • Administrative and supervisory experience preferred
  • 3 years’ legal experience required; 5 years’ legal experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills in English required; Spanish preferred
