About the role
- Supervise other staff and contribute to grant reporting
- Work on cases and participate in leadership teamwork and decision-making
- Build and manage MIRC’s pro bono and volunteer support model
- Recruit, train, and mentor attorneys for referral matters
- Lead trainings and organize workshops
- Identify and recruit additional professional support for cases
Requirements
- Licensed to practice law in Michigan or eligible for the next Michigan bar examination
- Experience in handling an immigration law caseload
- Commitment to serving low-income immigrant and underserved communities
- Administrative and supervisory experience preferred
- 3 years’ legal experience required; 5 years’ legal experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English required; Spanish preferred
