About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Independently initiate, process and monitor purchase orders for technical and non-technical requirements
Procure and manage workwear and personal protective equipment for employees
Obtain, review and systematically compare quotations
Act as the central contact person for workshops regarding procurement of non-trade goods
Establish and maintain supplier relationships, and conduct price and terms negotiations
Create and continuously maintain item and supplier master data in the system
Review invoices and resolve discrepancies with accounting and suppliers
Prepare reports, purchasing statistics and demand analyses
Contribute to the digitalization of purchasing processes and review and optimize workflows

Requirements

What you’ll need

Successfully completed commercial vocational training, e.g., industrial clerk (Industriekaufmann/-frau) or wholesale and foreign trade clerk (Kaufmann/-frau im Groß- und Außenhandel), or equivalent qualification
Good technical understanding
Ideally a strong affinity for workshop topics and tools
Initial practical experience in procurement
First experience with suppliers and negotiations
Experience or ability to maintain item/master data
Strong numerical aptitude
Confident use of digital office environments and spreadsheet tools
Ideally experience working with an ERP system
Open, transparent and communicative personality with strong teamwork skills
High quality awareness, accuracy and a structured way of working
