About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • As Head of the Engineering Office, you will play a key role in the success of our projects by supervising engineering teams.
  • Ensure mastery of technical interfaces and guide strategic choices during the design phases.
  • Ensure the compliance and quality of technical deliverables.
  • Structure our working methods to support the department's performance.
  • Oversee all design and development projects (products and services).
  • Ensure rigorous technical control of drawings, calculations, and all documentation.
  • Manage costs, schedules, and deliverables of the technical team in close collaboration with project managers.
  • Manage and coordinate design and project teams.
  • Make technical decisions and determine major design directions within projects.
  • Provide technical support to teams to resolve technical challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with intellectual property rules.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of a general engineering school or equivalent with a specialization in naval architecture, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and automation, or aerodynamics applied to the maritime domain.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in technical project management or engineering coordination.
  • Strong technical background, with a good understanding of engineering processes and product development cycles at evolving TRLs.
  • Knowledge of maritime industry regulations is a plus.
  • Experience related to sail propulsion systems would be an asset.
  • Proficiency in design and simulation software related to the maritime field: 3D CAD, mechanical and hydraulic engineering, electrical engineering, automation.
  • Familiarity with the maritime environment (maritime regulations, discipline-specific stability, hydrodynamics) is a plus.
  • Technical and conversational English required.
