About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Payroll production and validation
  • Process payroll within the required deadlines for the relevant sites
  • Collect, analyze and enter payroll variables in compliance with legal and internal rules
  • Check payroll items, correct anomalies and ensure a high level of quality
  • Verify payslips and documents produced by the external provider
  • Produce mandatory regulatory certificates and ensure compliant archiving of data
  • Support employee cases in partnership with Employee Relations Officers
  • Provide technical expertise to secure specific payroll treatments
  • Respond to employee inquiries with clarity and a high level of service
  • Ensure operational procedures are followed by all stakeholders (managers, assistants, HR partners...)
  • Analyze malfunctions and propose corrective actions
  • Contribute to the improvement of HRIS tools and payroll processes
  • Draft operating procedures and ensure they are kept up to date
  • Design and maintain dashboards, KPIs and activity reports
  • Act as the key contact for payroll information systems
  • Provide technical support to internal partners (HR, payroll administrators, managers...)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Diploma in payroll, HR management or personnel administration (equivalent to a two-year post-secondary degree)
  • Proven experience in payroll management, ideally in an industrial or structured environment
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, data control and social/employment law
  • Comfortable with HRIS tools and multi-stakeholder environments (external providers, HR, managers...)
  • Rigour, a sense of confidentiality and a strong focus on reliability
  • Analytical ability, a continuous improvement mindset and enthusiasm for cross-functional work
  • Strong interpersonal skills to support and secure individual situations
