About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform complex structural analysis and prepare design calculations using Midas, AASHTOWare Bridge Rating, STAAD, and other similar software tools
- Develop structural details and construction plans using MicroStation, AutoCAD, and ORD
- Assist and check design calculations performed by others
- Prepare geometric layouts, construction specifications, and material quantity calculations
- Ability to coordinate and communicate with other disciplines effectively
- Adherence to scope, schedule and budget for structure tasks
- Support bridge and structure proposal development through strong technical writing
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years of bridge related design experience
- PE license in PA and/or NJ (NY a plus)
- Understanding of AASHTO LRFD design and complex structural analysis software such Midas, including CSi Bridge
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation
- Experience with road and/or rail bridge rehabilitation design, seismic analysis, and rating analysis is desired
- Strong written and verbal communications
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
