About the role

  • own end‑to‑end design and documentation for transportation and infrastructure projects—lighting, power, and telecommunications systems; installation details; schematics; quantities; specifications; and cost/construction hour estimates—delivering coordinated, buildable solutions
  • drive performance and reliability by performing and verifying power/load, lighting, communications, and voltage drop calculations to ensure robust, code‑compliant designs
  • champion compliance with federal, state, and local codes and standards, reducing risk and accelerating approvals across complex project environments
  • lead as the technical authority—set design direction, review calculations and drawings, elevate quality, and mentor junior and staff engineers/designers
  • align designs across civil, architectural, and systems disciplines; collaborate with owners and consultants to eliminate conflicts and streamline delivery
  • uphold QA/QC excellence by applying standard procedures on all deliverables, improving consistency, constructability, and project outcomes
  • deliver on time and on budget by collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary and remote teams; proactively manage scope, schedule, and risks
  • grow team capability through hands‑on mentorship, training, and coaching that builds technical depth and prepares future project leads
  • influence strategic pursuits by contributing technical expertise to proposals, client interviews, and contract negotiations—bring your voice to the table
  • leverage modern tools; preferred experience with SKM, AGI32, MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer license
  • 15+ years of related experience
  • Experience with engineering software (SKM, Visual Lighting, AGI32) is preferred
  • Effective visual and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Proficient understanding of inter-relationships among design/engineering disciplines, clients, and constructors
