About the role
- Join Michael Baker International's Transportation Practice in Minneapolis, MN
- Assist with design, construction documents, plan production, maps, basic reports, and other supporting documentation
- Gather background information related to project sites, review as-built plans and map existing utility service
- Prepare drawings for highways, structures, and water/wastewater projects
- Assist with quantities and project cost estimates
- Coordinate with design technicians to ensure timely and accurate deliverables
- Prepare documents for regulatory agencies to obtain required permits
- Assist with preparation for client and project meetings and attend internal project meetings
- Occasionally visit project sites and report findings to Engineers and Project Managers
Requirements
- 0-2 years of related experience
- Familiarity with various CAD and Microsoft Office programs with the potential ability to produce high quality design documents, exhibits, computations, and reports
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to efficiently work independently within a multi-disciplinary team and prioritize project assignments to meet competing deadlines
