About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Advise the CHRO on enterprise human capital strategy aligned with university priorities
- Lead the design, integration, and continuous improvement of strategic human capital initiatives
- Build cross-campus partnerships with academic leadership, finance, IT, and student affairs
- Oversee AI-driven tools, business intelligence systems, workforce analytics, predictive modeling, dashboards, and reporting
- Establish ethical, transparent, equitable AI data governance standards
- Provide strategic oversight of HR technology systems and modernize HRIS infrastructure with IT
- Lead enterprise change management strategies and organizational effectiveness initiatives
- Oversee human capital policy development, review, administration, and modernization
- Lead services and programs supporting faculty, academic staff, and student employees
- Develop and implement succession planning for faculty and staff leadership roles
- Establish metrics and evaluation frameworks for human capital program effectiveness and ROI
- Report outcomes and insights to executive leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, Higher Education, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience in human resources, organizational strategy, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-level initiatives involving data analytics, HR technology, and organizational change
- Strong understanding of human capital theory, workforce analytics, and strategic HR practices
- Experience in higher education or complex organizations preferred
- Master’s degree or doctorate preferred
- Experience implementing AI or advanced analytics in human capital environments preferred
- Familiarity with shared governance structures and the academic enterprise preferred
