About the role
- Provide expertise, training, and research support in various microscopy techniques
- Teach one course a year on the theory of electron microscopy
- Teach one laboratory course a year on transmission and scanning electron microscopy
- Perform, diagnose, or coordinate servicing of center instrumentation
- Plan and coordinate future instrumentation needs and grant funding with faculty
- Supervise a full-time staff person and manage the center operating budget
Requirements
- M.S. degree in Natural Sciences, Material Sciences, or a related discipline
- Five years of experience with light and electron microscopy instrumentation and sample preparation techniques
- Working knowledge of image acquisition and analysis platforms
- Consideration will be given to applicants with Ph.D. degree in Natural Sciences, Material Sciences, or a related discipline
