About the role
- Advance the mission of Miami University by planning, organizing, and implementing strategies to increase the level of personal engagement and financial commitment of alumni and friends.
- Manage the TeleHawks Student Calling Program
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, schedule, and directly supervise 3-5 student supervisors and 35-40 student callers.
- Develop and implement creative employee recognition and incentive programs to retain and motivate callers, improve performance and increase productivity.
- Effect cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship calls to alumni and friends independently and occasionally with other staff, faculty, administrators and alumni volunteers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; minimum of one year of related work experience (volunteer work may be counted towards this requirement)
- Work experience in a financial, fundraising or sales setting; experience in an educational setting
- Outstanding communication skills; commitment to collaborative approach to fundraising; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; and willingness to travel occasionally
