About the role
- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
- Maintain and update legal files and document management systems with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Own vendor and partnership contracts, including review, negotiation, and approval workflows.
- Coordinate document execution, including notarization and e-signature processes.
- Track deadlines related to contracts, litigation, and compliance matters; proactively alert relevant stakeholders.
- Support entity management, corporate filings, and related reporting requirements.
- Support corporate insurance and surety activities.
- Assist with lease portfolio management, including landlord communication, document tracking, and record maintenance.
- Conduct legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law as directed by legal staff.
- Organize and maintain electronic legal files for audit readiness and efficient retrieval.
- Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and summaries for leadership review.
- Schedule meetings, appointments, and coordinate team logistics.
- Respond to internal inquiries regarding legal processes promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Three (3) or more years of experience supporting a legal department, law firm, or similar corporate administrative function.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Knowledge of legal terminology, concepts, and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); familiarity with legal document management systems.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with contract management, corporate filings, or legal operations strongly preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce and Conga is a plus.
