About the role
- Lead the implementation and management of a high-priority Texas Education Agency (TEA) initiative designed to accelerate and scale excellent leadership in turnaround districts across the state
- Manage technical assistance firms and contracted experts to develop and refine the TAN Playbook aligned to Effective District Framework (EDF), AIM, and earned autonomy
- Oversee Action Planning and Launch Execution supports for superintendents-in-waiting and conservator pairs preparing for placement in TAN-supported districts
- Facilitate a quarterly continuous improvement network for superintendents serving intervention placement districts
- Provide end-to-end project management across all TAN workstreams, ensuring alignment, clarity, and on-time execution
- Directly manage and develop one Project Manager, ensuring clarity of roles, priorities, and performance expectations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Significant experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder education initiatives
- Demonstrated expertise in district or school turnaround, systems redesign, or large-scale education reform
- Strong project management and organizational leadership skills
- Experience managing vendors or technical assistance providers
- Ability to engage senior leaders, including superintendents, conservators, and state agency leadership
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and synthesis skills
