Key responsibilities & impact

Advise clients on federal and state clean energy tax incentives including: Investment Tax Credit, Production Tax Credit, Bonus Incentives (Low-Income Community, Energy Community, PW&A, Domestic Content)
Assess project eligibility for a broad range of technologies, including solar, wind, battery storage, hydrogen, carbon capture, geothermal, biomass, and fuel cells
Provide guidance on credit optimization, transferability, direct pay, and monetization strategies
Lead multiple concurrent client engagements, overseeing scope, timelines, budgets, and quality of deliverables
Perform and review tax credit studies, calculations, models, documentation packages, and supporting workpapers
Monitor current and proposed tax legislation and regulatory developments related to clean energy and sustainability
Mentor, coach, and develop junior professionals through training, feedback, and performance management
Communicate with the client related to these credits to obtain the necessary information, as well as, provide progress updates on the status of the projects and claims.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in public accounting, tax advisory, or energy consulting
Deep understanding of IRC Section 45, 48, and related clean energy provisions
Experience with data and productivity tools, Microsoft Excel
Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills
