About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee the administration of the MGACSF and LICSF scholarship programs, ensuring the smooth operation of all related activities.
  • Develop and execute strategic objectives to grow awareness and financial support for the scholarship funds.
  • Collaborate with volunteer leadership boards, MGA staff, and scholarship recipients to ensure effective program implementation.
  • Manage fundraising activities, including events, donor relations, and outreach strategies.
  • Assist with the development and execution of new initiatives to increase the visibility and financial support of the scholarship funds.
  • Work closely with the Scholarship Programs Administrator and consultants, supporting the development and execution of scholarships and fundraising events.
  • Monitor budgets and financial reports to ensure the financial health of the funds.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including volunteer leaders, club representatives, major donors, alumni, partners, and golf associations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in a dynamic, service-oriented, non-profit environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with a wide range of stakeholders, including volunteer leaders, donors, and partners.
  • Experience with fundraising and development activities, particularly in the non-profit sector.
  • Familiarity with grant application processes is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to engage and build relationships with diverse groups, including volunteers, board members, and executive staff.
  • Experience with financial management and establishing budgets.
  • A bachelor's degree and at least 3+ years of relevant work experience in fundraising or development.
  • A high-energy, self-starter who can take initiative, think creatively, and communicate effectively.
  • Advanced computer and technology skills.
  • Ability to travel locally and regionally.
  • Knowledge and passion for the game of golf is a plus.
