About the role
- Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Support data integration, cleaning, and transformation tasks.
- Work with senior data engineers to ensure data quality, security, and governance.
- Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to provide clean and reliable data.
- Document processes, workflows, and technical specifications.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging activities.
- Stay up to date with new data engineering tools and practices.
Requirements
- - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (or currently completing).
- - 2 years of experience in data engineering, database management, or related areas (internships or academic projects are a plus).
- - Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- - Basic programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.
- - Familiarity with data pipelines and ETL concepts.
- - Understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- - Ability to work in a team and learn quickly.
- - Advanced English level (both written and spoken).
- **Preferred Skills**
- Exposure to big data tools (Spark, Hadoop) or orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect).
- Knowledge of version control (Git) and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) is a plus.
- Familiarity with data warehouses or data lakes (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
