About the role

  • Develop and evolve robust models that automate decisions and generate financial efficiency.
  • Focus on advanced credit and risk modeling, unified scoring (retail and corporate customers) and feature engineering & feature store.
  • Build and refine predictive models for credit/risk, propensity, delinquency, fraud, or operational efficiency (as prioritized).
  • Design features and selection/transformation strategies, working closely with the data and engineering teams.
  • Define and execute robust validations (offline/online), ensuring generalization and stability.
  • Implement model monitoring (drift, stability, calibration, performance) and investigate degradations.
  • Contribute to a unified score: metric consistency, comparability across segments and governance.
  • Translate results into actionable decisions, estimating impact (uplift, losses avoided, savings).
  • Document models (assumptions, limitations, risks, approval criteria) and support technical reviews.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Python (pandas, sklearn and/or equivalent libraries) and SQL.
  • Solid foundation in statistics, supervised modeling and evaluation (AUC/KS, calibration, risk metrics).
  • Experience with large-scale data (Databricks/Spark or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of monitoring/stability (PSI, drift, retraining triggers).
  • Ability to work end-to-end with a focus on production and impact.
  • Experience with XGBoost/LightGBM, ranking models, survival models, or advanced techniques applied to risk/credit.
  • Experience with explainability (SHAP), fairness and audit requirements.
  • Experience with MLOps (MLflow, model registry, automated pipelines, deployment).
  • Experience with feature stores and/or real-time inference.
  • Experience with experimentation (A/B testing, bandits) and scenario simulation.
  • Analytical profile with a focus on quality and robustness.
  • Clear communication (technical storytelling → business).
  • Autonomy and ownership mentality (investigate, propose and implement improvements).
  • Collaboration with Product, Engineering and Credit/Risk areas.
  • Pragmatism: balance accuracy, deadlines, risk and impact.
