About the role
- Support FP5G lab demo setups and associated equipment to enable business development and customer engagement
- Ensure smooth operation, installation, and maintenance of Dell FP5G RAN equipment in a dynamic lab environment
- Collaborate closely with engineering and business teams to prepare and maintain demo configurations
- Coordinate and perform installations, preventive and remedial maintenance of Dell FP5G equipment within lab or customer sites
- Interface with Dell FP5G development teams to establish successful integration of equipment into demo systems and support external customers
- Provide top level technical expertise and support to engineering departmental users
- Work with engineering departments to develop hardware configuration test plans to support business development efforts
- Provide on-site customer support and hands-on support for customer-facing lab activities
Requirements
- US Citizen
- Proven experience in installation, configuration, and maintenance of lab or R&D equipment, including servers, storage, and networking hardware
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to use diagnostic tools for equipment checks and preventive maintenance
- Experience working in a Scrum or Agile development environment
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar, to support automation and lab operations
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to support dynamic priorities and convey technical information effectively
- Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (desirable)
- Familiarity with 5G, 3GPP standards, Telecom systems, O-RAN, and RAN technologies (desirable)
- Experience with FP5G technologies, lab automation tools, or supporting business development initiatives through technical demonstrations (desirable)
- US Security Clearance
