About the role
- Perform analysis, fault diagnosis, inspections, tests, and repairs on rail communications systems
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections, modifications, repairs, and upgrades
- Update and maintain Rail Maintenance’s document control website
- Provide specialized data reports to Operations department management
- Assist in the development and modification of software and configurations
- Monitor rail computer/networking systems daily
- Assist in developing inspection and preventive maintenance programs
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
- Minimum five (5) years of experience with communications equipment in an IT or rail transit environment
- Experience in software testing and evaluation
- Cisco CCNA certification preferred
- Proficiency with computer workstations/servers and associated software
