About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- As a Network Administrator, you are responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of enterprise network infrastructure and security systems.
- This role equally emphasizes network engineering and network security, ensuring the performance, reliability, and protection of the organization’s wired and wireless environments.
- The position combines hands-on expertise in routing, switching, and wireless technologies with the deployment and management of firewalls, security policies, and threat mitigation controls.
- Designing and deploying network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
- Monitor network and security performance; proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
- Implement and maintain security controls such as segmentation, ACLs, zero trust principles, and policy enforcement
- Diagnosing and resolving network problems, including hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Develop and maintain network and security documentation including diagrams, standards, and procedures
- Forecasting network growth and capacity requirements.
- Coordinating with network equipment vendors for support and maintenance.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate degree or better in related field or 2+ years of related work experience minimum
- 2+ years of experience with networking in an enterprise environment
- Industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) preferred.
- Good understanding of networking architectures, standards and protocols
- Experience with firewalls (Firepower, PaloAlto FortiGate), network security concepts, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
- Ability to communicate technical matters to both peers and non-technical counterparts
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems.
- General familiarity with DNS
- Experience Configuring, deploying, and maintaining Cisco network devices
- Understanding of cloud computing platforms
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented organizational skills
- Dependability, adaptability, flexibility and creativity
- Ability to understand complex issues
- Professional attitude
- On-call availability
- Willingness to work as a team and independently.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
