About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform 24×7 continuous network monitoring of the Metronet PON, DWDM, IP, and Ethernet networks
Operate in a 24x7x365 Network Operations Center, including shift work and weekends
Constant monitoring of Network Management systems for alarms
Report, document, and track all alarm events
Create trouble tickets and manage until resolution
Communicate network event alerts to internal teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

2- or 4-year technical degree and/or equivalent training
Experience supporting ISP, telecommunications, network operations, or technical support environments preferred
Good computer and written/verbal communications skills
Effective problem-solving skills
Ability to take on new, demanding challenges
Demonstrated ability to assume new levels of responsibility and deal effectively with others
