About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform preventative maintenance and basic service on Metrohm laboratory instruments at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation issues as needed.
- Provide technical support to customers in person, by phone, email, and Microsoft Teams.
- Document service activities and maintain service records.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal partners.
- Effectively manage and prioritize service requests across a large geographic territory.
- Attend training programs at Metrohm USA headquarters in Tampa, Florida.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to test, diagnose, and repair technical equipment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
- Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or another STEM-related field.
- Laboratory experience, including familiarity with laboratory equipment and practices.
- Previous technical service, maintenance, or field service experience.
- Experience traveling for work.
