About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and maintain Metrc’s hardware and software compatibility framework
Develop structured compatibility assessment methodologies across device categories
Lead compatibility evaluations for new hardware vendors
Maintain relationships with hardware vendors for firmware updates
Own the development and ongoing maintenance of compatibility documentation
Design and manage structured feedback collection processes from customer environments
Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams during feature development
Support Configuration team with technical guidance on hardware scenarios

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of experience in hardware QA, systems integration, or technical compatibility engineering
Demonstrated experience developing or owning compatibility standards and integration frameworks
Familiarity with industrial print technologies and/or RFID, barcode, and scanning hardware
Ability to conduct rigorous compatibility assessments using vendor documentation
Strong process design and documentation skills
Proficiency with Confluence and Jira
