About the role
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipeline architectures.
- Optimize data ingestion, storage, and processing workflows.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and convert requirements into technical specifications.
- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
- Implement data security and compliance measures.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data systems performance issues.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in data engineering.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in **Data Engineering** or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of **ETL tools** and **databases** (SQL and NoSQL).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as **Python and/or Java**.
- Experience working with **cloud platforms** such as **AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud**.
- Proven ability to design and build **scalable data management systems**.
- Strong focus on **data quality**, reliability, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent **written and verbal communication** skills.
- **Nice to Have**
- Experience with **microservices architectures** and **containerization tools** (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of **data visualization tools** such as **Tableau or Power BI**.
- Experience with **real-time data processing technologies** (Apache Kafka, Apache Spark).
