About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and function as the day-to-day lead on multiple client accounts
- Lead account teams, including client service, staffing, training, organizational development, and quality control
- Participate in Method’s Leadership Team and collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations on internal agency initiatives
- Provide input on agency decision-making involving new business, best practices, client service, and performance management
- Motivate and lead high-performance teams with People Ops; contribute to recruitment and retention; deliver feedback
- Mentor designated direct reports, oversee 360 reviews, and set career development goals
- Provide strategic guidance on PR and integrated marketing programs, sensitive client issues, problem-solving, and evolving direction
- Execute Method’s Concierge Service Delivery Approach
- Oversee goals for internal team members and clients and lead teams against client strategy
- Coach and support Account Supervisors and guide teams toward effective, high-quality work
- Develop written content and newsworthy pitches aligned with client business objectives
- Build reporter and publication relationships to secure business, broadcast, tech, and trade media coverage
- Expand professional networks, participate in new business pitches, and support organic client growth
- Manage account quality, processes, timely client requests, budgets, staffing, team structures, and profitability
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically 6–10 years’ experience, or equivalent expertise and education, in public relations, communications, marketing, or related fields
- Senior-level ability to conceptualize and execute integrated communications programs aligned with business goals and objectives
- Ability to build positive rapport and trusted-advisor relationships with clients
- Excellent judgment and emotional intelligence for navigating difficult conversations
- Experience working with technology media across industry verticals, pitching stories, staffing briefings, and conducting targeted outreach
- Established relationships with journalists, analysts, and other media influencers
- Ability to manage others and oversee multiple direct reports with varied managerial requirements
- Strong editing and writing capabilities
- Passion for the work and commitment to developing skills and helping team members learn daily
