About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a team of Project Managers, providing guidance, support, and training to drive team performance.
- Plan, schedule, and execute multiple submetering projects, directly and indirectly through a team, including design coordination, meter installation, commissioning, and material planning.
- Establish and maintain a network of qualified contractors and vendors.
- Oversee project schedules, costs, and timelines, ensuring projects stay within budget and are delivered on-time and within scope and budget.
- Communicate project status, issues, and risks to all stakeholders.
- Continuously improve processes by identifying and implementing enhancements and evaluating their effectiveness. Work cross-departmentally to understand and remove bottlenecks.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements across all installations, whether in new construction or retrofit settings.
- Provide technical analysis of drawings and systems to support contractors and internal teams, while also assessing metering opportunities identified by the Sales department.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service, organization, and problem-solving skills throughout project management, and develop progress reports to track milestones and deliverables.
- Prepare and deliver financial reports on time as required on an ongoing basis.
- Lead and manage other projects and assignments assigned by FS Leadership.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or equivalent, Engineering is considered a strong asset
- 5 years of project management or field service management
- 3-5 years leadership/supervisory experience preferred in a field service environment or similar
- Minimum of 2+ years' experience coordinating with trades, hardware, building owners, or similar, etc.
- Previous experience installing commercial equipment preferred
- Working knowledge of electrical & mechanical system
- Ability to lead teams through significant change in a high-growth environment
- Experience working in Utility, Solar, Gas or similar an asset.
