Research Engineer

• Design, implement, and support robust hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructure platforms, with a focus on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and emerging technologies.
• Lead the development and automation of infrastructure processes (e.g., provisioning, patching, configuration management, monitoring, and backup) to improve efficiency, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to integrate new technologies and enhance platform capabilities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge bases for infrastructure components and operational procedures.
• Contribute to infrastructure security by implementing and maintaining security controls, participating in risk assessments, and supporting compliance with frameworks such as CIS, SOC, and NIST.
• Monitor performance, availability, and capacity of infrastructure platforms, proactively identifying opportunities for optimization and innovation.
• Assist with IT vendor evaluation, solution selection, and technology procurement, providing technical expertise to maximize value and minimize risk.
• Participate in IT audit activities and contribute to remediation efforts as required.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery strategies for critical infrastructure services.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, recommending improvements to drive platform innovation and operational excellence.
