About the role

  • HubSpot software development (Developer Platform)
  • Design, development and operation of Connected Apps based on the current HubSpot Developer Platform
  • Use of Connected App patterns for secure, scalable integrations
  • Management of scopes, token rotation, app versioning and deployments
  • API- and event-driven architecture
  • Use of HubSpot CRM APIs for objects, associations and batch operations
  • Use of webhooks & subscriptions for event-driven synchronization
  • Building robust retry, error-handling and monitoring mechanisms
  • Data modeling & CRM architecture
  • Design and maintenance of complex custom object models
  • Definition of object relationships, ownership logic and lifecycle states
  • Ensuring data consistency across multiple systems
  • Implementation of complex business logic in backend services
  • Validation, enrichment and transformation of CRM data at the code level
  • Reducing workflow overhead in favor of testable software logic
  • Technical integration of internal and external systems

Requirements

  • HubSpot developer expertise
  • Several years of experience with the HubSpot Developer Platform
  • Practical experience with Connected Apps, OAuth 2.0, scopes and webhooks
  • Strong understanding of the differences between legacy apps, private apps and modern Connected Apps
  • Strong knowledge of TypeScript and/or Python
  • Experience with REST APIs, asynchronous systems and event processing
  • Understanding of clean API contracts, versioning and testing
  • Experience designing scalable CRM and integration architectures
  • Ability to integrate HubSpot sensibly into a larger ecosystem
  • Awareness of performance, limits, rate limits and data volume
  • Very good German language skills
  • Ability to advocate technical decisions to Product, Operations and Management
  • Ownership mindset rather than ticket-based execution
