About the role

  • Shape the story: deliver narratives that differentiate Meter from legacy vendors and upstarts.
  • Lead biggest moments: drive strategy and execution for product announcements at MeterUp and throughout the year.
  • Launch with impact: own the product release schedule and bring new offerings to market with sharp messaging, GTM playbooks, and collateral that shorten sales cycles.
  • Arm the company with insights: build and share competitive and market intelligence to sharpen sales pitches and inform the product roadmap.
  • Collaborate with product managers and customer success to align on launch priorities, outcomes, and success metrics.
  • Join sales calls to gather prospect feedback and convert it into improved sales materials.
  • Produce customer case studies by interviewing customers and turning their stories into effective marketing assets.
  • Distill analyst and competitor insights into one-page briefs for sales, product, and engineering.
  • Execute marketing tasks such as landing page refreshes to clarify pricing and positioning.

Requirements

  • Owned GTM strategies or launches that made complex technology clear, urgent, and valuable.
  • Great at translating complex topics into digestible, plain-spoken language and avoiding marketing jargon.
  • Thrive at the intersection of product and sales; turn features into crisp, outcome-oriented messaging.
  • Balance strategy with execution: see the big picture and care about execution details.
  • Empathize with IT leaders and understand their priorities and constraints.
  • Measure success in deals closed, usage driven, and pipeline accelerated.
  • Able to work from Meter's San Francisco office three days per week.
