About the role
- Lead Meter's content strategy from concept to impact, managing ideation, drafting, editing, publishing, and amplification.
- Sharpen and maintain Meter’s unified brand voice across all owned channels.
- Build strong relationships across the company to surface ideas and turn them into narratives.
- Establish and maintain a consistent publishing cadence across owned channels.
- Establish, track, and optimize baseline performance metrics (traffic, engagement, shares) and refine strategy.
- Research, distill, and translate complex updates from Product, Engineering, GTM, and more into clear content (blogs, social, long-form, podcasts, one-pagers).
- Interview customers and internal subject matter experts to create compelling stories.
- Experiment with storytelling formats beyond writing—video, audio, interactive formats, events—in partnership with Design.
- Spotlight the people behind Meter’s work and highlight team speed and rigor.
Requirements
- Exceptional writer and skilled storyteller who can translate technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
- Strong relationship-builder with interpersonal skills to connect across all levels of the company.
- Talent for making complex things clear; backgrounds such as journalist, researcher, or producer acceptable.
- Innately curious and adaptable.
- Ability to work from Meter's San Francisco office three days per week.
